We also offer all of our clients an optional DJ Service meaning that all of your evenings entertainment can be kept in one place. Combined with a daytime package - you can have one top notch supplier take care of everything for you safe in the knowledge that your dance floor will be rocking.

We know booking a band can be a daunting experience. After all - we don't do it very often. Our aim at The Manytones is to make the whole process as stress free as possible. In response to the many questions we face from enquiry stage through to the booking process we've set out to pre-empt your thoughts and provide as many answers as possible in our Band Guide below. We've included explanations of all the technicalities and boring stuff - as well as some inspirational ideas and suggestions for your Wedding based on thousands of hours performance experience.

We can provide music and entertainment as guests mingle, or during the meal and before the speeches. Normally available as 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 30 minute performances.

These options can add a real ambience to your Wedding Breakfast and can be the perfect prelude to the evenings entertainment. Choosing a First Dance

  • Decide whether you want it performed live by the band - or DJ'd and let the band know in plenty of time so it can be learned/arranged

  • Don't let the worry of performing a first dance stress you out and spoil the moment! Remember you are surrounded by people that love you and are so happy for you both

  • Remember - whilst it is a tradition - it is not mandatory to perform a first dance - so if it really causes you anxiety - you don't HAVE TO do it!

  • All that matters is that you both enjoy yourself!

  • If you are struggling to select a song - think of any you remember from when you both got together, or maybe when you first met?

  • Can you find any common ground in a genre, even if not necessarily the same song choice?

  • Get your friends and family (audience) involved - bring them onto the dancefloor if you do not want to be the centre of attention - you can ask the singer, or DJ to do this for you.

  • Make sure the genre of music chosen for your first dance matches the theme of your wedding, or the band's style. (The Manytones can perform multiple styles and genres)

45 minute setup time provided band has reasonable access to the venue.

Bass, Drums, Keys, Vocal, Guitar OR Sax (5) or Guitar AND Sax (6)

60 minute setup time provided band has reasonable access to the venue

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I Pick The Band's Setlist?

A: You can specify a genre of music or pick themed sets i.e. Soul, Pop, Dance, Swing - and you can interchange up to 3 songs from our setlist to your liking. We do not make whole-scale changes to the Set in its entirety based on the fact our current set is well rehearsed and we have a track record of keeping the floor full!

Q: Does the Band Provide Lighting?

A: Yes - the band provides lighting for its performance and DJ Service

Q: Can i customise the DJ Service?

A: Yes - you can have as much input as you like. We can tailor an entire playlist to your liking or you can leave it to us. We will of course provide advice and guidance in the lead up to the wedding based on our extensive experience.

Q: I have never booked a live band - what do I need to do?

A: Don't worry. We are here to help guide you through the whole process from the initial booking through to your big day. Any questions, or requirements you have we will listen and make things as stress free as possible. You will have your very own go to person to discuss all of your requests and available options.

Q: Which singer will I get?

A: You can choose from our selection and we can make sure that singer is allocated to your performance

Q: Our venue has a sound limiter - is that a problem?

A: No - we are sound limiter friendly and our sound engineer can work around it without a problem. If you want it LOUD however - its worth making sure you have the right venue

Q: What is the process for booking the band?

A: We take a 20% deposit to secure the booking with the remainder payable one month before your wedding. All of our contracts are legally binding and electronically signed by both parties for your peace of mind.

Q: Is the band insured and PAT Tested - and what does this mean?

A: We have full public liability insurance (5m) with Allianz Plc - this covers us, you, and all of your guests in the event of accident or injury. All of our equipment has been PAT tested (electronically safety tested) for which we can provide a certificate. 

Q: Can you perform our first dance live?

A: Yes - we offer this as standard.

Q: Can we see you perform live at a public gig?

A: 98% of our bookings are private/corporate and wedding - but if we have a public gig - you are more than welcome to come along. We will typically advertise these on our facebook page.

First Dance

Choose your special song which will be performed live by the band or DJ'd if you prefer the original

1 Song

1st Set (Band)

The First Set will begin straight after the cutting of the cake and first dance. Normally between 815 and 845pm.

45 mins

DJ Service

The Band will take a break during the buffet or evening food but the DJ will keep the party going with music.

30-45 mins

2nd Set (Band)

The band will perform a second set increasing the intensity and really whipping up your guests into a total party.

DJ Service

Dance out the remainder of the night to either our DJ service or your venue/chosen DJ. This will finish when the venue dictates (1am maximum)
